Is it the best Pixar movie? Not by any stretch, but it's the sentimental value it holds that really hits home for me. Nostalgic factor aside, <i>Cars</i> is a delightful crowd-pleaser with a surprisingly emotional core, the film follows a path of self-discovery and redemption, it's a grounding film that explores the themes of community, mentorship, and the importance of slowing down to appreciate the simple things in life, it's the message of the film that makes it truly timeless.
