I didn’t put myself in my last 3 posts because they were not about me. Yes, I have posted again on social media after 2 years away. It is me. I am indeed alive.

While I can fall asleep reading, listening to the sound of birds singing, millions of Palestinians are woken up night after night to the sound of bombs. Even in declared “safety zones.” In hospitals. Schools. Tents in refugee camps. Schools. Simply walking down the street. Standing in line to buy food for their families.

The majority of Palestinians who have been murdered are children. As of Tuesday, the amount of bombs dropped on Gaza surpassed those of World War II - in Dresden, Hamburg, and London combined.

There is no justification for genocide.

This is genocide. “These things happen in war.” NO. No they don’t. These things happen when war crimes are committed. When mass genocide is unleashed on thousands of children, civilians, and fleeing refugees. For all that war is terrible and horrifying - this is something beyond even that.

I will never understand why this is my life, and this is hers.
There is nothing that can justify genocide. There is nothing that can explain this away.

There can never be any justification for genocide. This is the mass murder of children, civilians, those who have been hospitalized, infants, refugees, of people standing in line to buy flour, of people fleeing to safe zones only to be trapped and bombed. There is nothing in the world that can justify this.

And if you ever sang to me, sing to me again, because I told you I would come back for you. But all I did was leave, a fingerprint on the glass. You slipped away in the tide of another ocean, and I always knew it would come to this. Because mermaids belong to the sea, and firebirds to the sun. But how the earth listened when we sang together, as one.

Reimagination

You can always find me drinking coffee and reading a good book☕️

One of my favorite parts of traveling is tasting coffee from all over the world. Since the pandemic started I haven’t been able to travel as much as used to, and I’ve been missing trying new coffees. I recently connected with @bluesailadventures and they were so kind to send me some of their curated coffee blends!

I love that they are creating adventurous coffee for adventurous people☺️ They have an amazing subscription service that has blends from all over the world! You can even choose to be adventurous and let them pick where your coffee comes from or choose your own.

You can use ‘Travellight21’ to get 10% off your first order. Will you pick your own blend or be adventurous?

Coffee cheers ☕️

Back to Egypt. Always. ❤️ 🇪🇬
This is my sixth time visiting Egypt, and I discover new things to love about it every time I come here. I'll have a lot of Egypt Instagram stories coming up!

Dreaming of the endless colors of Uzbekistan🌙

In my dreams I am flying over the golden desert again. Not on wings, but on a quicksilver horse. 💫 💫

Tatooine ☀️ ☀️
Well guys I really wanted to tell you about my recent trip to Tatooine. As soon as I stepped out of the ship, I noticed the dry, overwhelming heat. There was coarse, rough, irritating sand all around us. It got everywhere. But thankfully I like sand, unlike some people from Tatooine.
The first place that I wanted to visit was the iconic Mos Espa Racetrack. It was amazing to see in person!

Even the smallest Golden Eagles have a wingspan longer than my height! The largest of these formidable birds of prey have a 7.7 foot wingspan! (1.8 - 2.34 meters). They can reach maximum speeds of 200 mph 😱😱 Being face to face with this magnificent and beautiful bird was definitely my most epic experience traveling through Kazakhstan.

This tiny village in rural China had me feeling as if I'd just stepped into the Shire from Lord of the Rings. The charm and tranquil beauty of this place was perfect. If you haven't seen my Shaxi video yet on YouTube, it's one of my favorites! 😊

Happy Valentine's Day 🔥 🔥

Happy Lunar New Year!🧧

Quarantine has made me so nostalgic for fairytale adventures like these. I miss China so much and can’t wait to go back soon!

How did you celebrate your Lunar New Year?😊

This white desert, full of hot white sand like snow, instantly became one of my favorite places in the U.S. as soon as I saw it!
